GARNER AREA HOMESCHOOLERS YOUTH

Picture
GAH Youth Group (GAH-Y) is a Youth Lead - Adult Facilitated program that affords youth ages 12 and up opportunities to develop leadership, communication, and financial skills in a safe collaborative environment.   In addition, it serves as an avenue to keep homeschool youth engaged and connected with the homeschool community during adolescence.

This program is developed and organized by GAH-Y.  Youth hold monthly meetings to plan and organize meet ups, field trips, community service opportunities, and social events that interest and represent the group as a whole.  Youth serve in a number of capacities including volunteerism, giving back to the community, and other opportunities.  GAH-Y  meet ups are fun times for youth to hang out, grow together, develop as leaders, and build meaningful relationships.

To facilitate a smooth transition for 11 year olds entering the program, the following grace periods are available: 11 year olds turning 12 by October 1st may begin participating the September before their 12th birthday;  11 year olds turning 12 by March 1st may begin participating the January before their 12th birthday.

Participants must register and attend Orientation. This group resumes in September.  Contact GAH for more information.
